5. Funding and Fundraising
There used to be a bigger separation between funding for repairs and for new works and community projects. Increasingly, funders for all types of projects will be looking for either community outreach or education, or increased access, to form part of any project and will want to see evidence of what your place of worship is doing in one or all of these areas.
The Crossing the Threshold Toolkit devotes three chapters to this very important issue as follows:

will show you how to develop a fundraising strategy which is a written plan that details your funding objectives and how you are going to achieve them. Describes the different methods of raising money.

helps you identify the funders most likely to fund your particular project and how to manage the process of making applications.
CHAPTER 12: Completing Applications – Selling your Project to Funders
explains how to complete application forms in the most effective manner.
