Rural Church Buildings
A comprehensive information hub covers every aspect of rural places of worship, including information for listed places of worship; how to look after your church; advice on building issues, such as maintenance and metal theft, funding, opening to visitors and energy efficiency.
Rural church buildings are a major concern, but how can your building be a blessing rather than a burden? How can you maximise its potential as a tool for mission and stop seeing it as a money-pit? This free the Arthur Rank Centre resource provides you wth a wealth of ideas about the creative use of church buildings.
The resource includes information, advice, case studies and other material from various denominations. There is information about maintaining and adapting buildings, balancing conservation with mission and creating a sustainable future for your place of worship.
This well-loved and well-used resource is due a comprehensive overhaul which we hope to complete in 2017. We apologise for any information that is out of date or links that are broken but please be aware that we will not be undertaking piecemeal changes to this edition of the resource.
Further information about the care of church buildings can be found on the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings website.
